Recreational Park Trips
Fist up we have here a place that also has a Disc Golf coursePrado Regional Park With this new way of camping for our family, we wanted to “practice” and get all the jitters out before our first long road trip so we ended up at Prado for the weekend and we absolutely loved it. Prado has 75 sites and site 75 is our favorite site (our cover photo shot) because you feel like you have the whole park to yourself. This place has hiking, biking, and equestrian trails right off these back sites in the distance. Prado also has a special place in our hearts because this is where we brought our very first home made trailer and we created our instructional videos and had our photo shoots for The Blueriginal– the trailer we converted as our covid family project. Nature Trips
Our close to home but far away enough from the city go to SpotFOSTER RESIDENCE CAMPGROUND When you live in Los Angeles but you crave the woodsy camping feeling but you don’t want to drive 5 plus hours to get there, Foster Residence Campground can be your go to. Located in Ventura County, we have been here multiple times through the years and we keep coming back because it is a lovely place. With only 16 sites total, the first 10 sites have full hookups at $50 a night. The other 6 sites are for your true camping experience at $28 a night. This park has a camp host on site so you can ask for help if needed. We love that this park gives you plenty of space between sites so it allows you to feel like you are there alone but yet, you have that comfort to know…
Beach Trips
South Carlsbad State Beach If you are looking for the beach camping experience but you are not a fan or the sand in your toes, this place is the winner! With 200 sites to choose from, this place is lively and amazing. South Carlsbad is a very well run campground with several camp hosts, a camp store, a restaurant with live music, one main paved road where locals and campers walk, ride, run along regularly, this place has all the bells and whistles you would want from a camping experience. The beach is down an enormous amount of stairs so it is definitely not for the faint at heart but it sure is beautiful if you can make it down there. If you can’t, I assure you the views from up top are nothing but stunning. This place is also considered the surfers dream and there are plenty of them.…
