This was also the year Jacob was a 4th grader so he was the one able to get us into all the National Parks and he proudly showed the rangers his America the Beautiful card as we entered Zion, Badlands, Yosemite, Crater Lake, and Redwoods. We thought we could use it to enter Mount Rushmore but the park pass is not valid there. We also visited Crazy Horse Memorial, and the Black Hills this trip. Writing this now…

Here we go! 2023 was the year we took the trip we like to call “Trip of a lifetime”. For the first time both J and I took on coaching at our High School for two different sport seasons which allotted us to add a few extra bucks to our vacation fund so we included some splurges this time. Since we headed out across the country again, we assumed this may be our last time there so we jam packed our calendar like never before.
